All independent designers dream of opening up their a boutique in a major shopping mall. For the first time in Canberra, this opportunity is being offered to Canberra’s up and coming fashion labels. CBR Collective officially opened at the Canberra Centre on 24 May 2013. This is one special boutique, where Canberra fashionistas will be able to get their hands on exclusive pieces produced by outstanding local labels, including those seen parading collections at FASHFEST in May. Read on to find out more!

The founding designers of CBR Collective are E4 (women and men’s casual wear by Rohan Thomas), FibreStudio Design (textile accessories including scarves and wraps by Ann Willsford), M&TM (Short for Mec and the Maid, women’s ready to wear by Sara Poguet), Pure Pod (Eco Fashion label by Kelli Donovan and Sean Watson), T-Heinrich (Women’s street wear by Janette Lenk) and sofia polak (women’s formal wear by Sofia Polak). Also currently stocked brands are Hutch, PNC Metalsmith, Tango & James, I Heart Threads, Cynthia Jones-Bryson and BM designs. All designers from Canberra are being encouraged to get involved, so we should expect to see a varied range of labels appearing at CBR Collective in coming months.

The boutique is located at Shop DF 16 Canberra Centre. If you haven’t checked it out yet – where have you been! Find out more on the facebook page here.

CBR Collective is a fashion and design collaboration established by Lighthouse Business Innovation Centre in partnership with Canberra Centre to provide Canberra based designers with the opportunity grow or establish their brand.
