And so my search for the perfect brown lens continues. But I never thought I would try another short term disposable lens since Acuvue 1-Day Define. While short term disposable lenses have the great advantage of being hygienic, I just can’t seem to bring myself to throw away lenses after only one use. Monthly Neo Cosmo Dali Extra is the best of both worlds, with a one month disposal period, maybe longer if you don’t wear them often.

As if to make a big point up front about how hygienic lenses are, Monthly Neo Cosmo comes in a serious little blue box that makes you think of pills.

And the seal on this box is not only informative, but also ensures that this box has never been opened from the factory to you!

This is a first. When you’re expecting detailed instructions and warnings in a little booklet, these are printed on the inside of the box.

The colour of Neo Cosmo Dali Extra Brown is a mix of honey brown and chocolate brown, with a natural gradation 2/3 of the way to the centre. For such a small lens, at 14.2mm the print covers quite a large surface area. When I saw this lens, I knew that it would look incredibly natural on.

When on, you can hardly tell I’m wearing any lenses at all, but these lenses transforms my irises from deep black to dark brown.

• Totally natural looking, so much so that you can hardly tell I’m wearing lenses at all. There are great lenses for everyday, maybe even the office.
• The design is semi transparent, and so shows up on even very dark eyes, like mine
• Being monthly disposable, these lenses would be perfect for those who are new to circle lenses or are concerned about the health implications of contact lenses

• Up close, the design looks a little grainy, but I don’t think this detracts from the look of this lens
• The water content, 45% is on the low side, and requires regular rehydration to maintain comfort throughout the day. Otherwise I found these comfortable to wear for over 6 hours.
• The small 14.2 mm size doesn’t a dramatic an enlarging effect.
