| There could possibly be no two things as complimentary as the skinny leather pant and studded flat booties. These days my attention has turned sharply away from high heeled boots to flat, more masculine styles, if only for the latter’s edge factor (looks like I’m going through another one of my anti-girly phases). Of course nothing makes the calf look thinner and longer than a killer stiletto, but, at least in photographs, this is remedied by a sitting down pose! I can’t help but gush about the ‘Nadia’ boot from Jessica Buurman. Inspired by the Anine Bing studded boot, it’s got those bling-bling golden studs that contrast in such a cool way against the patent leather. Chloe and Isabel Marant have studded their boots in feminine, curly, patterns, but the ‘Nadia’ is all about geometry.
