Canberra’s Food & Fashion Market is in just one week, and this week I’ll be posting about the final two designers I’m be featuring as part of this unique event. 9 Lives Re-Creation jewellery is as unique as its name. All pieces are designed and handmade by Gertrud Pihelgas using unconventional materials not usually associate with jewellery – recycled rubber, zippers, broken tea ware and recycled leather. 9 Lives Re-Creation designs challenges the preconception that jewellery must be made from delicate materials to be feminine. They transform hard industrial materials into pieces of soft femininity. I’ll be featuring three unique earring (re)creations. Read on to find out more. |
