I’m a big fan of glitter and sequins for day wear. In fact, I’ve come to think the only time you could get away with wearing blocks of glitter is during the day. I love the idea of taking objects out of their natural context, in which they hold well accepted social connotations, and dropping them into a new and unexpected environment, where the old world views no longer apply. Or one step further, juxtaposition: a technique by which two contrasting elements are emphasized by their placement side by side.
